Just looking through my pics.. This is the Chrome rad guard option I had on my white AR for a while .. In the end I preferred a mix of genuine parts but it was a close call.

Its nice to see your handy work making your AR unique Smile

not been delivered yet but thinking about keeping the bike red for a while especially has everyone who has seen it says keep it as it is.
will have to re-spray the bottom fairing again though with red decals.

Cleverer than me friend came to measure my head volume and squish so i could get the head skimmed.

worked out at .8 off the head.

And while i was at the engineers had the carb bored out from 24mm to 26mm. he said it would be ok to take to 28mm but for now 26mm will do.

Hi Fazey
Some nice details going on with this bike. well done

Can you tell me how you painted the belly pan, to get the great finish?
(thats one of my jobs to do!)
Going to 26mm on the carb - whats the idea behind this ?

cheers
Brew

Thanks for the comments.

The belly pan was rubbed down back to the plastic to a finish of 1600 wet and dry then primed painted and lacquered....used plasticote

unrestricted early ar125 had 26mm carbs so 26mm is part of unrestricting.
the later model has 24mm carbs.

painted the engine casings today.
They where all discoloured with petrol stains and scratched quite bad.
Didn't turn out to bad.

Can get away with most things bike but paint spraying in the house would undoubtedly get me a huge bollocking.
