Yorkshire 2-Stroke Day, September 2011
OK, not an official DS event this, but plenty of club/forum members and familiar faces turned up to play. About 100 (did anyone count ?) assorted RD's, LC's, Powervalves, TZR's, TDR's, RG's, RGV's, KR-1S's, NSR's, GT's, DT's and Kawasaki Triples (not to mention the odd Fizzy, AR, KR and SDR) turned up at Squires Cafe in the sun to find an exclusive 2-stroke only parking area. A great mix of machinery from concours restoration to trick special to well-used hack. Following a couple of hours chat, about 40 strokers then hit the road together for a 40-mile back-roads hoon to Seaways cafe. And back again. And the weather stayed good. There's not really a lot more to say, hopefully the pictures speak for themselves.
Big thanks to 'Becky' for organising the whole thing, Nick for KR push-starting duties, and Humberside Police for going to fetch a gallon of unleaded for the very thirsty Mach-III.
